Finding My Own Way Through The Garden

Tending to my garden has been a daily checklist item in my to-do list for as long as I can remember. I need to make sure my indoor plants have all the necessary care to thrive, from the correct lighting to just the right amount of humidity percentage. My outdoor garden needs to be watered, and I must do what I can to prevent another infestation. I have researched (and continue to), as well as learned through trial and error.

Honestly, caring for my gardening spaces has been challenging, intellectually demanding, and, at the same time, peaceful. Plants and gardening have taught me patience, resilience, and the charm of flaws. It’s true, in my experience, there is no single “right” way to grow something—every gardener, every planter, finds their own rhythm. There is beauty in being able to choose to follow the rules or experiment with what we know. That’s what makes this experience so valuable to me.

Over the years, tending to my garden has been more than just a hobby. It’s a moment of stillness, a way to slow down and appreciate the transformations happening every day. Whether it’s watching new leaves unfurl, caring for a struggling plant, or simply observing the fruits of my labor, there’s something deeply grounding about it.

This space is a reflection of that—an ongoing experience of learning, growing, and figuring things out along the way. Here’s to the joy of seeing what works, adapting when things don’t, and enjoying the overall process.

Wherever you are in your own journey with plants, I hope you find something here that resonates with you.
